PNWSGNA BOARD MEETING MINUTES
March 30, 2002
VIRGINIA MASON HOSPITAL
Present: Mary Kay Wood, Cathi Dodson, Jennifer Gleason, Audrey Pastor, Sandra Rogerson, Michelle
Koger, Irena Wright, Linda Fortney, Kaylyn Valdez, Karen Darsie, Jill Ragsdale, Debbie Tombs,
Carolyn Anderson, Debbie DiPietro. Meeting called to order at 1135.
President Jill Ragsdale: A western contest was suggested for regional week. There will be a silent auction on that Saturday night and we would be giving a gift basket with a Northwest theme. Board members will be looking and asking for donations. The Colon Cancer billboards are up. An attempt at getting a picture taken with Board Members under a billboard after the meeting was discussed.
Past President Carolyn Anderson: The Vendor Luncheon will be held on April 13 from 1100-1300 with 15 Vendors in attendance.
Treasurer Linda Fortney: Checking account balance $21,020.88.
President Elect Cathi Dodson: There have been some questions and concerns about the planning of the Fall Conference 2003 in Spokane.
Membership Kaylyn Valdez: Board members were given a list of lapsed members and given a group to call and remind them their membership had lapsed.
Scholarship Debbie Tombs: Ten applications were received for the Bette Shulenberger scholarship. Applicants were narrowed to eight and all eight were accepted. Checks were presented and distributed by Linda at the conference that afternoon.
Website Jennifer Gleason: The billboard sites are on line and she will try to get a picture online. Postcards will be mailed to encourage members to check out our website. The registration forms for the fall conference can be downloaded from the website. Vendors names and addresses are online.
Newsletter Irena Wright: The fall 2002 issue will be the last issue mailed. Future issues will be online only.
The meeting was adjourned at 1220. The next board meeting will be on May 4, 2002 at VMMC. Agenda: National.
