PNWSGNA BOARD MEETING MINUTES
June 19, 2004

Members Present:
Jeanne Ronk, Allison McClane, Shanna Mosher, Debbie Tombs, Heather Blyth-Foss, Bill Smiley, and Darlene Buckley.
President Jeanne:
Handed out copies of SGNA resolutions and discussed resolutions with board members. Updated members on the SGNA national conference in Dallas.
President-Elect Debbie:
Discussed date of GI Potpourri next year in regard to Bette Shulenberger scholarship deadline and early bird
registration for the national conference. Jeanne will contact SGNA regarding early bird registration.
Secretary report:
April 17, 2004 minutes deferred.
Treasurer Shanna:
Discussed the feasibility of bulk mailing as a non-profit. Board members voted no because it would cost $150 -$200 to maintain.
Checking account: $10,966.84
Savings account: $14,062.95
CD account: $12,209.40
Membership Co-chairs Allison and Heather:
PNWSGNA pins will be given to all members at the Fall conference. A pin and a t-shirt will be given to every new member
who signs up at the membership desk. T-shirts will also be sold at the conference.
Vendor Coordinators report:
Sending out letters to all vendors for the Fall conference. Steris is interested in sponsoring a Friday night educational event.
Past-President report:
The board is looking for a President-Elect for 2005. All board members need to decide if they will run for the same
offices next year. Jeanne will contact past members for interest in board positions.
Scholarship report:
Scholarship criteria discussion deferred until the September board meeting. The application deadline for the
Andy Gilmore scholarship is August 31, 2004. Applications may be submitted on the web site.
Fall conference update:
Discussed speakers and lunch plans.
Newsletter/Website Coordinator Bill:
A hard copy of the newsletter will be sent out to all members twice a year. Discussion of website included ideas to
advertise for the GI Potpourri and the Fall conference, including pictures of the conference facility and hotel. Bill states
website needs updating, at a cost of approximately $1400. Discussion of asking for web site sponsors to help defray
this cost. Bill, Sheryl, and Donna to pursue sponsorship.
