PNWSGNA BOARD MEETING MINUTES
September 22, 2001
VIRGINIA MASON HOSPITAL
Present: Jennifer Gleason, Kaylyn Valdez, Carolyn Anderson, Patti Wilbur, Cathi Dodson, Irena Wright, Michelle
Koger, Debbie DiPietro, Linda Fortney, Jill Ragsdale. Meeting called to order at 09:00. Board meeting minutes of
04/21/01 reviewed and approved.
Past President Report (Jennifer Gleason): PNWSGNA web site is up and running. Board meeting
minutes will be posted on the web site starting with current minutes. SGNA Education Committee is working on a
"Tool Book" with job descriptions. Anyone who would like to share their facility's job description with SGNA
should contact Jennifer.
President-Elect (Jill Ragsdale): Plans for PNWSGNA 2002 Fall Conference are as follows:
Location: Double Tree Inn, Tukwila, WA (Near SeaTac Airport)
(Hotel choice was based upon: free Airport Shuttle, easy access, reasonable cost, all rooms are suites)

Checking Balance: $12,932.22
Savings Balance: $13,693.94
CD expires 10/31/01: Will be reinvested
Membership (Kaylyn Valdez): Membership table at Fall Conference will have two raffles:
New Membership: winner will receive Core Curriculum book.
Current Members: winner will receive Teddy Bear (Made by President Elect, Jill Ragsdale).
Newsletter Editors (Irena Wright and Michelle Koger): Michelle and Irena will be exploring different
avenues to reduce costs associated with PNWSGNA's newsletter. Currently, Wilson Cook provides a grant to
assist with newsletter costs. Precision Medical has free newsletter services.
Vendor Coordinator (Debbie DiPieto): 15 Vendors have paid for booths at Fall Conference, 12 additional Vendors
have signed up, but have not yet paid. Debbie will look into Ribbons and Name tags for Fall Conference Attendees.
Vendor Sponsor (Carolyn Anderson for Anna Yanchuck): We have one sponsor for Fall Conference.
Carolyn will contact Anna to verify final number of sponsors.
President (Carolyn Anderson): Fall Conference Co-Chairs, Lilli Gimbolo and Jerilyn Rathke, we unable
to attend meeting, so Fall Conference discussion was led by Carolyn. CE Applications: Has not been submitted yet. Carolyn will have Lilli send all materials to her for completion
and submission of application. Cathi Dodson, Secretary and 2000 Fall Conference Co-Chair, will assist
Carolyn with application preparation. Moderators were chosen for each speaker. Registration: Board members discussed plan for registration set up process for Fall Conference.
The next Board meeting will be held December 1, 2001 at Virginia Mason.
