The selected candidate will work closely with the Manager of Perioperative & Interventional Services to help organize, plan, and oversee patient care delivery for both inpatient and outpatient gastro procedures in our beautiful new facilities on the Eastside!

Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating patient care and nursing service activities consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization. Supervises the gastro clinical staff. Qualifications
Education: Nursing Baccalaureate degree from an accredited school of nursing required. Applicants without a BSN may be considered at the discretion of the Director of Perioperative Services. The applicant must begin actively pursuing a BSN within two years of hire. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
Licensures/Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington. Current BLS certification.
Experience and Skills: Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical experience with demonstrated clinical knowledge and leadership qualities. At least two years of supervisory or charge experience preferred.
Ability to operate, or learn to operate, unit-specific equipment as outlined in defined competencies. Proficient in planning, coordinating, and reviewing operating room activities reporting to this position. Includes input into and adherence to annual operating and capital budgets. Ability to perform with dexterity when assisting physicians with scope advancement procedures. Working knowledge of endoscopic and pulmonary scopes with various adjunct accessories. Working knowledge of and the use of proper scopes and accessories for: a) EGD – Esophagoscopy; b) Colonoscopy – Flexible Sigmoid; c) ERCP; d) Bronchoscopy preferred. Adequate knowledge to perform assessments, plan patient care, provide direct care, and educate and orient families and staff. Skilled to work with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff. Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English. Ability to complete mathematical calculation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, equivalencies). Must have knowledge of human growth and development to modify services to the age and development stage of the patient.
